Daxxify Available in Chevy Chase

Daxxify, the new Botox, is available in very select locations right now. However, we are excited to announce that you can find Daxxify in Chevy Chase at Cronin Dermatology! This new Botox alternative was FDA approved last fall but has just recently hit the market in exclusive locations. Here’s what you should know.

What is Daxxify?

Daxxify is a NEW neuromodulator from Revance. Like Botox, Dysport, Xeomin and Jeuveau. These injections stop signals to the muscles to temporarily paralyze the muscle and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Daxxify in Chevy Chase is FDA approved for smoothing facial wrinkles in adults. It is the first major competitor to Botox in decades.

Daxxify Lasts Longer than Botox Daxxify in Chevy Chase

While Daxxify works similarly to Botox, it has a longer lifespan. Clinical trials showed that it could last nearly twice as long as traditional Botox. 80% of patients in the study had no or minimally visible facial wrinkles after four months and approximately 50% of them had little evidence of wrinkles six months after treatment. That’s astounding considering that Botox typically only lasts around 3 months.

Furthermore, just as Botox pairs well with other treatments, Daxxify can too!

NOT Created Equally

Another thing that makes Daxxify different is that it does not contain any human or animal products. While other neuromodulators are made from human serum albumin, Daxxify is created from peptides or amino acids.

Alternative Uses of Daxxify

Like Botox, Daxxify can treat more than just wrinkles. Botox is FDA approved for a wide variety of uses such as overactive bladder, urinary incontinence, excessive sweating, and chronic migraines. There is no reason that Daxxify can’t treat these same issues.
